- make a reservation = book in advance: đặt trước, giữ chỗ trước. Ex: It's cheaper if you book the tickets in advance. IN ADVANCE (OF STH): + before the time that is expected; before something happens. + more developed than somebody/something else (đi trước thời đại in advance of the age, tiến bộ) - look into sth: to examine something. Ex: A working party has been set up to look into the problem. - the tip of the iceberg: only a small part of a much larger problem. Ex: These small local protests are just the tip of the iceberg.
