THE YOUNG WOMAN ON THE MOTORCYCLE
In the early hours of April 5,1993, a motorcycle was speeding along a ..major..... highway in New Jersey. The night was dark and there was vey little traffic on the road. Joe Taylor was in a hurry to get home. He had left his office in New York City later than he had ..expected/ planned....... But now that he was out of the city, he was making good time.
As he approached Long Hill Road in Somerset Country, he glanced at his watch. Exactly 2 o'clock. He ..downshifted........... and sped up the hill. A minute later, he reached the curve at the top of the hill. It was .....dangerous....... place for accidents. But with so little traffic on the road, Joe didn't ...slow... down.
Suddenly, he saw a young woman. She was ...standing........ in the middle of the road. Joe had to swerve to ..avoid....... her, but she didn't move. After he had stopped, the young woman calmly walked up to him and asked him if he could give her a ..ride........ He asked her what she was doing in such an ....isolated/remote..... area alone. She said that there had been an accident. Joe looked aroung, but he couldn't see a car or any other people. He asked the young woman what had ......happened...., but she didn't .....answer...
