  • Employment and the economy greatly improved through tourism. Jobs are created, not only in the tourism sector but also in the manufacturing sector and the like. Small-scale industries received the boost and appreciation they needed as tourism and handicrafts also flourished. When those directly in the tourism sector earn money, they spend it on other goods and services known as the “multiplier effect”. A lot of alternative job opportunities such as security guard, tour guide, etc. are born due to tourism. As local arts and crafts are promoted, local heritage and culture will be preserved. This is a very positive global effect. Ultimately, the local infrastructure changes and gets better. This helps to raise the standard of living at the tourist destination. In addition, as the host and guest interact, worldwide exchange of lifestyles and cultural understanding takes place.
