my best friend's name is ngọc linh. she is 17 years old and (she) lives in vinh city. she used to be my classmate and we have been friends for 4 years. now, she is studing at phan boi chau highschool. she is tall and quite thin. she has a round face with a straight nose and black eyes. she has a long black hair.
she is very kind , helful and intelligent, she always helps me with everythings, which she can do when i need. i'm very happy becausse i have a good friend like her

I. Use the correct present tense forms of the verbs in brackets:
The man (go) goes to work by train every day. He (stay) stays in the train for haft an hour: and (seat) seats and (stand) stands and (read) reads his newspaper. He ( try) trys to read all the news during the journey and in that way (know) know s a lot about the topics of the day.
II. Put the verb in brackets into the Simple Past or the Past Progressive:
1. They (study) were stydying in the library when the fire alarm went off.
2. Albert Einstein (die) died in 1955.
3. As I (cross) was crossing the street, two cars (race) raced by me at full speed.
4. As he (come) was coming up to his house in the darkness, he (see) saw that a man (climb) was climbing out of one the bedroom windows.
5. John (work) was working hard when suddenly the door (open) opened .
6. I (look) was looking up the sky; dark clouds ( gather).gathered
7. What had she done (do) when you (arrive) arrived there? – She (write) har wroten a letter.
