Mệnh đề quan hệ đứng ngay sau danh từ mà nó bổ nghĩa.
1. Cách dùng đại từ quan hệ và trạng từ quan hệ trong mệnh đề quan hệ.
1.1. WHO: Who là đại từ quan hệ chỉ người, đứng sau danh từ chỉ người để làm chủ ngữ (subject) hoặc tân ngữ (object) cho động từ đứng sau nó. Ex: – The man who is standing overthere is Mr. Pike. – That is the girl who I told you about.
1.2. WHOM: Whom là đại từ quan hệ chỉ người, đứng sau danh từ chỉ người để làm tân ngữ (object) cho động từ đứng sau nó. Ex: – The woman whom /who you say yeaaterday is my aunt. – The boy whose/ who we are looking for is Tom. Who/ whom làm tân ngữ có thể lược bổ được trong mệnh đề quan hệ xác định (defining relative clause).Ex: – The woman you saw yesterday is my aunt – The boy we are looking for is Tom.
1.3. WHICH: Which là đại từ quan hệ chỉ vật, đứng sau danh từ chỉ vật để làm chủ ngữ (Subject) hoặc tân ngữ(object) cho động từ đứng sau nó. Ex: – This is the book which I like best. – The hat which is red is mine.
Which làm tân ngữ có thể lược bỏ trong mệnh đề quan hệ xác định (defining relative clause)..Ex: – This is the book I like best. – The dress I bought yesterday is very beuatiful. 1.4. THAT: That là đại từ quan hệ chỉ cả người lẫn vật. That có thể được dùng thay chowho, whom, which trong mệnh đề quan hệ xác định (dèining ralative clause) Ex:– That is the book that/ which I like best. – That is the bicycle that/ which belongs to Tom. – My father is the person that/ who(m) I admire most. – The woman that/ who lived here before us is a novelist.
That luôn được dùng sau các tiền tố hỗn hợp (gồm cả người lẫn vật), sau các đại từeveything, something, anything, all, little, much, more và sau dạng so sánh nhất (superlative).Ex: – I can see a girl and her dog that are running in the park. – She is the nicest woman that I've ever met.
1.5 .WHOSE: Whose là đại từ quan hệ chỉ sở hữu. Whose đứng sau danh từ chỉ người hoặc vật và thay cho tính từ sở hữu trước danh từ.

Whose luôn đi kèm với một danh từ.
Ex:
- The boy whose bicycle you borrowed yesterday is Tom. – John found a cat whose leg was broken.
1. 6. WHEN: When là đại từ quan hệ chỉ thời gian, đứng sau danh từ chỉ người hoặc vật và thay cho tính từ sở hữu trước danh từ chỉ thời gian. When được dùng thay cho at/on/ in which, then. Ex: – May Day is the day when (on which) people hold a meeting. – That was the time when (at which) he managed the company.
1.7. WHERE: Where là trạng từ quan hệ chỉ nơi chốn, đứng sau danh từ chỉ nơi chốn.Wheređược dùng thay cho at/ in/ to which, there. Ex: – Do you know the country where (in which) I was born? – Hanoi is the place where I like to come.
1.8. WHY: Why là trạng từ quan hệ chỉ lý do, đứng sau the reason. Why được dùng thay cho for which. Ex: – Please tell me the reason why (for which) you are so sad. – He told me the reason why he had been absent from class the day before.
2. Phân loại mệnh đề quan hệ: Có 2 loại mệnh đề quan hệ: mệnh đề quan hệ xác định (defining/ restrictive relative clause) và mệnh đề không xác định (non-defining/ non-restrictive relative clause)
.2.1 Defining relative clauses (mệnh đề quan hệ xác định) Đây là loại mệnh đề cần thiết vì tiền ngữ chưa xác định, không có nó câu sẽ không đủ nghĩa. Ex: – The man who keeps the school library is Mr Green. – That is the book that I like best.
2.2. Non-defining relative clause (mệnh đề quan hệ không xác định) Đây là loại mệnh đề không cần thiết vì tiền ngữ đã được xác định, không có nó câu vẫn đủ nghĩa. Mệnh đề quan hệ không xác định được ngăn với mệnh đề chính bằng các dấu phẩy. Trước danh từ thường có: this, that, these, those, my, his … hoặc tên riêng.
Ex: – That man, whom you saw yesterday, is Mr Pike. – This is Mr Jones, who helped me last week. – Mary, whose sister I know, has won an Oscar. – Harry told me about his new job, which he's enjoying very much.
Lưu ý: Không được dùng THAT trong mệnh đề quan hệ không xác định (non-defining relative clause).

Câu 9, đi sau to be là tính từ e ạ
Câu 10, với dạng câu hỏi đuôi, e hãy chú ý đến phần thì nhé. Ở đây, đề dùng thì HTHT thì e cx phải đáp lại bằng HTHT. Do đó, mượn trợ động từ là "has" e nhé ^^
Câu 18, chị gạch dưới rồi. E có thể làm lại
Câu viết lại 2 đó, ngta dùng On Christmas Day chứ ko phải "In" e ạ ^^
Câu số 4, chị nghĩ là do e ẩu =))
Phần B.
Câu 2, đa số địa điểm chúng ta dùng where nhưng với một số trường hợp, dịch theo nghĩa, e phải dùng which. Điển hình là câu này =))
Câu 3, e chú ý đến chủ ngữ nhé. Ngta dùng "A new kind..." Khi làm bài tập, e chú ý cho chị có mạo từ hay ko nha =)) Bẫy toàn ở đó. Vì có "a" nên e phải chia số ít.
Câu 4, e quên lùi thì rồi ^^

CÁCH NHẬN BIẾT TỪ LOẠI DỰA VÀO VỊ TRÍ CỦA TỪ

I. Danh từ (nouns):

Danh thường được đặt ở những vị trí sau

1. Chủ ngữ của câu (thường đứng đầu câu,sau trạng ngữ chỉ thời gian)

Ex: Maths is the subject I like best.

Yesterday Lan went home at midnight.

2. Sau tính từ: my, your, our, their, his, her, its, good, beautiful….

Ex: She is a good teacher.

His father works in hospital.

3. Làm tân ngữ, sau động từ

Ex: I like English.

We are students.

4. Sau “enough”

Ex: He didn’t have enough money to buy that car.

5. Sau các mạo từ a, an, the hoặc các từ this, that, these, those, each, every, both, no, some, any, few, a few, little, a little,…..(Lưu ý cấu trúc a/an/the + adj + noun)

Ex: This book is an interesting book.

6. Sau giới từ: in, on, of, with, under, about, at……

Ex: Thanh is good at literature.

II. Tính từ (adjectives)

Tính từ thường đứng ở các vị trí sau

1. Trước danh từ: Adj + N

Ex: My Tam is a famous singer.

2. Sau động từ liên kết: tobe/seem/appear/feel/taste/look/keep/get + adj

Ex: She is beautiful

Tom seems tired now.

Chú ý: cấu trúc keep/make + O + adj

Ex: He makes me happy

3. Sau “ too”: S + tobe/seem/look….+ too +adj…

Ex: He is too short to play basketball.

4. Trước “enough”: S + tobe + adj + enough…

Ex: She is tall enough to play volleyball.

5. Trong cấu trúc so…that: tobe/seem/look/feel…..+ so + adj + that

Ex: The weather was so bad that we decided to stay at home

6. Tính từ còn được dùng dưới các dạng so sánh (lưu ý tính từ dài hay đứng sau more, the most, less, as….as)

Ex: Meat is more expensive than fish.

Huyen is the most intelligent student in my class

7. Tính từ trong câu cảm thán: How +adj + S + V

What + (a/an) + adj + N

III. Trạng từ (adverbs)

Trạng từ thường đứng ở các vị trí sau

1. Trước động từ thường (nhất là các trạng từ chỉ tàn suất: often, always, usually, seldom….)

Ex: They often get up at 6am.

2. Giữa trợ động từ và động từ thường

Ex: I have recently finished my homework.

3. Sau động từ tobe/seem/look…và trước tính từ: tobe/feel/look… + adv + adj

Ex: She is very nice.

4. Sau “too”: V(thường) + too + adv

Ex: The teacher speaks too quickly.

5. Trước “enough” : V(thường) + adv + enough

Ex: The teacher speaks slowly enough for us to understand.

6. Trong cấu trúc so….that: V(thường) + so + adv + that

Ex: Jack drove so fast that he caused an accident.

7. Đứng cuối câu

Ex: The doctor told me to breathe in slowly.

8. Trạng từ cũng thường đứng một mình ở đầu câu,hoặc giữa câu và cách các thành phần khác của câu bằng dấu phẩy(,)

Ex: Last summer I came back my home country

My parents had gone to bed when I got home.

It’s raining hard. Tom, however, goes to school.

IV. Động từ (verbs)

Vị trí của động từ trong câu rất dễ nhận biết vì nó thường đứng sau chủ ngữ (Nhớ cẩn thận với câu có nhiều mệnh đề).

Ex: My family has five people.

I believe her because she always tells the truth.

Chú ý: Khi dùng động từ nhớ lưu ý thì của nó để chia cho đúng.

CÁCH NHẬN BIẾT TỪ LOẠI DỰA VÀO CẤU TẠO TỪ

I. Danh từ (nouns)

III. Trạng từ (adverbs)

-Trạng từ thường được thành lập bằng cách thêm đuôi “ly” vào tính từ

Ex: beautifully, usefully, carefully, bly, badly

– Những từ vừa là adjective vừa là adverb:

Ex: wrong, long, late, last, kindly, hard, free, fast, daily, best, all day, early, well.
