The weather's not nice. It is raining at the moment. Still, it is getting better slowly, and I'm sure it'll be fine when you come in the summer. I am looking forward to it. The job seems to be too demanding. Most of the time I deal with bookings and answer inquiries. But I suppose it'll be different when the tourist season starts next month. Even now the restaurants are beginning to get busier.

I. The Future Simple with "will" and "be going to"

1. Will

- Diễn tả một quyết định đưa ra vào lúc nói.

Example:

· It’s cold. I’ll shut the window.

· The phone is ringing. I’ll answer it.

- Diễn tả một đề nghị hoặc lời hứa.

Example:

· I will tell him about that. Don’t worry.

· I promise I won’t get drunk again.

- Diễn tả 1 ước đoán trong tương lai.

Example:

· Do you think the car will start ?

· One day people will travel to Mars.

- Diễn tả 1 sự đe dọa.

Example: If you do that again, I will beat you.

- Diễn tả 1 quyết tâm.

Example:

· I will go with you whether it rains or not.

· He will take that job even though his father doesn’t want him to.

- Diễn tả 1 đề nghị muốn giúp đỡ hoặc cần được giúp đỡ.

Example:

· Shall I carry this bag for you?

· Will you post these letters for me?

2. Be going to

- Diễn tả 1 ý định đã được sắp đặt trước.

Example: He is going to buy a new computer. (He has saved for years)

- Diễn tả một dự đoán có căn cứ

Example: There isn’t a cloud in the sky. It is going to be a lovely day.

- Diễn tả 1 quyết tâm (Có thể thay thế bằng “will” )

Example: We will / are going to win the match.

II. Passive

A: S + V + O

P: O + be P.P + (by + S)

*Note:

- We use the passive when we do not know who does the action(s).

- We use the passive when the focus is on the action, not the doer(s).
