Only When + S V, Vaux + S V : Chỉ khi làm gì
I didn't know she had been well-known until her friends told me.
=> Only when her friends told me did I know she had been well-known.
Not until + N + Vaux+ S V : Mãi đến khi
Man didn't fly into space until the early 1960s
=> Not until the early 1960s đi man fly into space
Not until S V , Vaux + S V : Cho đến khi
They couldn't go on working until the rain stopped
=>Not until the rain stopped could they go on working

Phân biết cấu trúc "Not until" đứng ở đầu câu với cấu trúc "It was not until......" nhé
It was not until.........that......... mãi cho đến khi.........thì.........
Ví dụ:
It was not until she had arrived home that she remembered her appointment with the doctor
Cô ấy ko nhớ tới buổi hẹn gặp bác sĩ cho đến tận lúc đã về tới nhà.

Exercise: Rewrite the following sentences
1. She didn’t become a teacher until 1990.
It was not until……………………………………… ………
2. He didn’t know how to swim until he was 30
It was not until……………………………………… …………
3. They didn’t begin to learn English until 1980.

My answer:
1.It was not until 1990 that she became a teacher.
2.It was not until he was 30 that he knew how to swim
3.It was not until 1980 that they began to learn English
4.It was not until his father came home that the boy did his homework

3. They didn't begin to learn English until 1980

bạn ơi, cấu trúc " it was not until.....that...." mệnh đề sau chữ "that", verb trong đó có chia theo thì không hay là để V-0 vậy
