-Theo mình nghĩ câu gián tiếp là 1 phần ngữ pháp rất quan trọng và tất nhiên các bạn ở đây có lẽ đã biết hết nhưng mình muốn đưa thêm các dạng đặc biệt của nó.

Dưới đây là các dạng thường gặp của câu tường thuật ở mức độ nâng cao. Đối với những dạng này trước khi chuyển chúng ta cần xác định hàm ý của người nói trong câu.

1) Dạng 1: S + V + sb + (not) to inf.

Các động từ thường được sử dùng trong dạng này là :

3) Dạng 3: S + V + gerund

Các động từ thường được sử dùng trong dạng này là :

4) Dạng 4: S + V + to inf.

Các động từ thường được sử dùng trong dạng này là :

promise

Ex: He said, “ I will kill you if you don’t do that”
--> He threatened to kill me if I did not do that.

5) Các dạng câu sẽ dùng advise (diễn tả lời khuyên)
Có một số dạng câu như câu hỏi, câu điều kiện … nhưng khi tường thuật lại thì không dùng dạng câu hỏi mà lại áp dụng công thức của câu mệnh lệnh với động từ advise:

Khi gặp các mẫu sau thì dùng công thức: S + advise + O + to inf.

6) Các dạng câu sẽ dùng suggest (diễn tả lời đề nghị)

Khi gặp các mẫu sau thì dùng công thức: S + suggest + gerund

Ex: My friend said to me,”Let’s go out for a drink”
--> My friend suggested going out for a drink.

My friend said ,”Why don’t we go out for a drink?”
--> My friend suggested going out for a drink.

7) Các dạng câu sẽ dùng invite (diễn tả lời mời gọi)

Khi gặp mẫu sau thì dùng công thức: S + invite + O + to inf.

Would you like ….?

Ví dụ:
“Would you like to come to my party “
-->He invited me to come to his party.

8) Các dạng câu kép (có 2 câu nói trong 1 dấu ngoặc kép) :

Đối với các trường hợp này các cháu phải dùng liên từ để nối chúng lại; các liên từ thường dùng là :
Nếu 2 câu là nguyên nhân, kết quả (quan hệ nhân quả) của nhau thì dùng: Because/ So

Ex: “Don’t tell me to do that. I don’t like it “
--> He asked me not to tell him to do that because he did not like it.
Nếu 2 câu đó là câu nói liên tiếp nhau (quan hệ nối tiếp) thì dùng: And added that

Ex: “ I miss my mother. I will visit her tomorrow.”
--> She said that she missed her mother and added that she would visit her the next day.
Nếu 2 câu khác dạng nhau (không cùng là câu phát biểu, câu mệnh lệnh hay câu nghi vấn,...) thì câu đầu vẫn làm bình thường sau đó thêm and và động từ tường thuật riêng của câu sau.

Ex: “This is my book. Don’t take it away.”
--> She said that was her book and told me not to take it away.

“Tomorrow is my birthday. Do you remember that?”
--> She said that the next day was her birthday and asked me if I remembered that.

9) Đối với dạng câu câu cảm thán
Dùng động từ tường thuật exclaim : S + exclaim with + statement noun + that

Các danh từ thường dùng trong mẫu này là:

delight
admiration
horror
satisfaction
surprise
pain
regret
disappointment
…….


Ex: “What a lovely dress !”
--> She exclaimed with delight that the dress was lovely.

“Oh! I’ve cut myself” said the little boy.
