Doing homework everyday is boring. How does daily homework provide advantages to students? Do students need to have daily homework? I believe that daily homework is a useful tool to help students review their material, improve their skills and make them have responsibility. Therefore, daily homework is necessary for students.
Doing homework is a good way for students to go over their materials. They can also assess themselves on how much they understand lessons by doing homework. If they do not understand any particular topic, they can search for more information or discuss it with friends or teacher in order to understand it. Moreover, if they do not review lessons soon after they have learnt, they will easily forget the lessons. Therefore teachers give homework to students to make sure that their students review the lessons.
Daily homework is the best way to make students practice. To become a skillful person in some areas, students need to practice and practice. For example, solving equation in mathematics, students should practice many equations to improve their ability on solving them. The more students practice, the more skill they develop. Therefore daily homework in mathematics is required because teachers need students to practice them.
Submitting homework on time can reflect students’ responsibility. Daily homework can be a tool to pave the way for students to learn responsibility and preparing them to become responsible adults. Besides, they will learn the processes to prioritize their tasks so as to have their homework finished in time.
In conclusion, thanks to these three principal reasons mentioned above, daily homework is important for students. Teachers should give students daily homework to make their students review lessons, improve skills and learn responsibility.
Bài 2:
Homework helps students better understand their study materials and class lessons and regular homework attach students to their academic lessons more deeply. However, some people believe that homework does not bring any benefits. Personally, I think that this issue has some advantages and disadvantages. In this essay first I will focus on the reasons I support this idea about daily homework and then I will move on to analysing its disadvantages. However, my personal opinion would be in favour of homework as I believe this is mostly helpful.
From the one side, daily homework brings many benefits. As I already mentioned, it helps students understand subjects more deeply. Also, young people learn how to arrange their time to have all things done on time. In addition to those practical benefits daily homework teaches students how to make their own research if something is not clear. Curiosity is one of the main reasons that leads a person to a success. Students learn to make their research, work with different kinds of informational resources such as Internet, books, magazines, journals and newspapers. I think it is a great experience and it is very good for a long run.
From the other side, daily homework can bring many disadvantages. For instance, if a person has no interest in biology, but has a huge interest in music he has to spend his precious time doing his homework and reading uninteresting books instead of spending the time practising new melodies. Another important aspect of this that a student can have no time for his physical activities. So, basically, doing daily homework will not keep him in a good shape.
To sum up, I think that an intermediate position can be taken. For example, a student will have to do his daily homework if he is going to specialise in this field in the future.
Bài 3:
Many teachers assign homework to students everyday, and they seldom doubt it. However, as far as I am concerned, it is not necessary.
To begin with, not every teacher has classes everyday. For instance, a chemistry teacher may have no class on Monday. It makes students learn nothing new about chemistry that day. As a result, it becomes unnecessary for the chemistry teacher to assign homework. Because if the teacher still assigns homework, perhaps the students will not have enough time to review what they have learned that day, such as physics and biology.
In addition, everyone must have his or her own leisure time. Students are not machines. They cannot work without any rest. Even if a machine works everyday, its efficiency will become lower and lower and refuse to work finally. So the teachers must let students have some spare time, when they can play games, have a picnic and do other things they like. It is good to children’s health.
Last but not least, assigning homework everyday is not a scientific way of studying. Suppose you must do physics homework everyday. After several weeks, you will probably think physics is so boring that it no longer interests you. How could one learn physics well under such circumstance? I think the only way to solve this problem is not to assign physics homework everyday.
So from what has been discussed, one can reach only this conclusion that daily homework is not necessary at all.
