A lot of people, especially young teenagers, sign up for volunteering because it brings lots of benefits to us, both physically and mentally. I volunteered once last summer; I worked in the local nursery home. There, I got a chance to meet and care for elders. I served them food, chatted with them, and sometimes even played chess. They welcomed me and treated me as if I were their grandchild. Every time I visited, they were delighted and hugged me whenever I greeted them. It was a fascinating time to work in the nursery. Thanks to volunteering, I can meet and communicate with other people, as well as experience things in life that I rarely know. It helps me gain more life skills, too. I'm happy to volunteer and help the community after this experience. On this summer vacation, I will sign up for more volunteer work!
