Nowadays, with a modern and busy life many people believe that living in the big city is very interesting. However, others think that living in the countryside is better. As for me, city life has both advantages and disadvantages.
Firstly, it is easier to get higher education. For example, schools have modern facilities and materials with qualified teachers. Secondly, living in urban areas is very convenient. Unlike rural areas, there are many different kinds of shops and facilities in the city. Finally, there is a good transportation network in the city. We can take different means of transport to go from one place to another.
On the other hand, city life has several short-comings. The cost of living in a city is usually much higher than that in a small town or village. Habitants of cities have to pay higher prices for housing, transport and even food. Secondly, urban areas tend to suffer from social problems such as high crime and poverty rates in comparison with rural areas. The traffic, the streets and public transport systems are usually overcrowded, especially in rush hours. As a result, city life can be unhealthy and stressful.
In conclusion, living in the city has both advantages and disadvantages. Therefore, everyone should choose a place to live basing on their career and financial condition. In my opinion, I believe that the city not only provides good education but the best medical facilities and conveniences.
