Dear guests, now in this seminar, I'd like to talk about sources of energy what are used in Vietnam.
Source of energy is a foundament of human being. Energy can be used for many activities in the human life. Energy can heat our house, cook a dish, etc… But there are many type of energy in the world and in Vietnam.
Fossil fuel is one of them. Fossil fuels are non – renewable energy that means fossil fuels can't use again. They all include oil, natural gas, … They are very plentiful and abundant. You can buy it easily and also it can be taken from the underground. And also it is energy that the most used by Vietnamese people. It can be used for running machine, driving ship and many other activities. Especially for poor family, they don't have enough money and fossil fuels are really cheap, they cost almost nothing. In Russia, Saudi Arabia, the bills of fossil fuels a month just cost 2 dollars. So many family are relize and rely on fossil fuels. But unfortunately, fossil fuels have many problems what lead searching for new source of energy. First, fossil fuels are really harmful for enviroment and our life. When you burning fossil fuels to create energy, it will release carbon dioxide what very very bad for our planet. Carbon dioxide will fly to asmostphere and it will attract sunlight and solar radiation. And it will harm to asmostphere and our planet. Second, fossil fuels are limit. If people use a lot of fossil fuels, it will be run out. If we don't change, we won't have enough money in near future.
Clean energy is second source of energy. Hydro and nuclear power can generate a great deal of energy. They are very clean and plentiful. Because they don't create carbon dioxide and other harmful air. People can solve the air pollution with clean energy. In future, the clean energy industry will be more and more develop although now it isn't interested in by almost people. But it is interested in by people in United States and many rich country as the modern energy. But now, clean energy is having some problems. First, with hydro power, dams can't build in anywhere, it just can build in some certain area what have a little earthquake and far from city. And sometimes, when the floor begin, dams will be broken and a lot of water will be released and floor all of city. Second, with nuclear power, it's very dangerous. Do you remember a accident called " Chernobyl disaster " ? It is a exampler of nuclear accident. Nuclear power can cause increase of radiation and many radiation waste will be released which cause many dangerous disease such as cancer, … So, they are very anxious about that sources of energy.
Alternative energy is the last one. They include sun and the wind. They are very famous. Because it can remedy for two source of energy above. The wind will turn turbines to create electricity. The sunlight can be converted into electricity. They will put a solar panel what make solar power to electricity. And that energy is clean and it is free. It is very abundant because the energy from wind and sun is almost infinity. And it can be used for every activities. But there is one disadventage is its price is expensive. It's just a new one with many people and just a rich company such as Tesla, Google can improve that kind of energy and only rich family can buy it. . These alternative energy sources can offer abundant amounts of clean, safe electricity. Although the use of alternative energy is very few, the alternative energy in the future is more and more industrialize. They will be valued more and more in the future in Vietnam. And I will call it as " the energy of future ".
