*) Nếu là tính từ:
+) current: occurring in or existing at the present time: xảy ra hoặc tồn tại tại thời điểm hiện tại
Ex: the current crisis; current supplies; ....
+) present: of, relating to, or constituting a verb tense that is expressive of present time or the time of speaking: thuộc về, liên quan đến, hoặc tạo thành một thì động từ mà là biểu hiện của thời điểm hiện tại hoặc thời điểm nói.
Ex: I'm very busy at the present moment.
*) Nếu là danh từ:
+) current: the part of a fluid that moves continuously in a certain direction: dòng, luồng
Ex: alternative current (dòng điện xoay chiều); the current of thought (luồng tư tưởng, suy nghĩ); ....
+) present:

• a gift, especially one given for birthdays, christmas, anniversaries, graduations, weddings, or any other special occasions: món quà
  
• the current moment or period of time: hiện nay, hiện tại, lúc này, bây giờ

*) present còn là 1 động từ: biếu, tặng, cho ; còn current không phải là 1 động từ
