MAN: Good to have you back, Kate! Did you have a nice vacation?
WOMAN: It was amazing, but I am exhausted. Why is it that I always get back from vacation feeling more tired than when I went?
MAN: I completely agree. It’s the hardest part – both exhausting and stressful! Getting there and back is just something I could do without.
WOMAN: You’re so right. Especially the coming back part! At least on the way there, you’ve got the vacation to look forward to!
MAN: Plus, travelling can sometimes be so complicated and unpredictable. Last year my sister’s suitcases ended up in New York instead of Florida!
WOMAN: What a nightmare! Did she get them back eventually?
MAN: Only the day before she was due to fly home again. She had to spend the first day shopping, buying new clothes.
WOMAN: I hope the airline gave her some money for that.
MAN: Yes, but a few months later. But it nearly ruined her trip because she spent so much time on the phone.
WOMAN: We had an awful trip back yesterday. The plane was five hours late and ended up arriving at 4:30 this morning instead of midnight.
MAN: And you came directly to work? That’s what I call dedication!
