I. Rewrite:
1. "Would you mind not smoking in this room?" she said to him.
=> She asked him not to smoke in that room.
2. "You should not drink too much coffee at night," said Bob.
=> Bob advised not to drink too much coffee at night
3. "Don't be late for class again, Jim".
=> The teacher asked Jim not to be late for class again
4. "Would you like to go out for dinner with us tonight?".
=> Mary suggested going to out for dinner with them that night.
5. "All right, I'll pick you up at 6 pm tonight".
=> She agreed to pick me up at 6 pm that night.
II. Rewrite:
1. "If I were you, I'd read the exam questions very carefully. (advise)
=> He advised me to read the exam questions carefully.
2. " Okay, I'll collect David from school." (agree)
=> He agreed to collect David from school.
3. " Please stay for s few more days." (invite)
=> She invited me to stay for a few more days.
4. "Can you lend me ten pounds?" (ask)
=> He asked me to lend him ten pounds.
5. "Don't swim out too far, boys." (warn)
=> He warned boys not to swim out too far. (Câu này mình giải thích thêm : dùng warn...not to để cảnh cáo điều gì. dùng warn .... againist + V ing dùng khi khuyên không nên làm điều gì Vd : She warned him againist buying a car. Nó tương đương nghĩa với advised not to. Trong SGK nâng cao có phần này. Bạn sử dụng cho đúng nhé )

insist on Sb: yêu cầu or đòi hỏi

accuse Sb of : nhắc nhở

=> Mary thanked..my brother for lending her the camera
thank Sb for St: cảm ơn vì.......

=> She congratulated..Jommy on winning the first prize.
congratulate Sb on St: chúc mừng
6. "Don't go to the mountain this season. It's very cold" said a local person.
=> The local person..advised us not to go to the mountain that season because i it was very cold

=> Tom thanked..me helping him
8. "Let's drink something on this occasion" he told me.
=> He suggested...i should drink on that accasion
9. "You've got your master's degree. Conggratulations" Larry said to her.
=> Larry congratulated. her on getting her master's degree
10. "You copied your friend's paper, Jack" the teacher said.
=> The teacher accused Jack of copying his friend'S paper
11. "I have wanted to study overseas" Jim said to me.
=> Jim has dreamed. of study overseas
12. He told me "Shall we go to the cinema tonight?".
=> He suggested..going to the cinema that night
13. "Tom, you can't smoke cigarettes" his father said
=> Tom's father prevented..Tom from smoking cigarettes
14. "No, I don't steal your handbag".
=> The boy denied..having stolen my handbag

Mình phần này cũng "gà" lắm có gì mấy bạn chỉ giáo thêm nha!

mấy bạn ơi, warn sb to do sth và warn sb against v-ing khác nhau như thế nào? Khi nào dùng warn sb to do sth, warn sb against v-ing.
Hình như mình nhớ là dùng warn sb against v-ing là nghĩa phủ định hay sao đó (ko dùng kèm với not)

Theo mình: warn sb to do sth nghĩa là cảnh báo ai làm việc gì đó.
Còn warn sb against v-ing nghĩa là cảnh báo ai chống lại việc gì đó ( đây là câu mang nghĩa phủ định rùi nên ko có not ). OK?:)>-@};-

hình như cái này có 1 bạn nói rồi mà mình nhớ là
warn Sb to do St : cảnh báo ai đó
warn Sb against Ving:khuyên không nên làm gì = advise Sb not to V
