Beaverton residents and stakeholders is the passion and their ideas for how to reshape and revitalize the central city has helped shape the strategy. They want to reduce congestion in the central city. They want to bring new life to Broadway and Canyon traffic without difficulty and pedestrians and bicycles are a safe and attractive place to walk and ride. Instead of inconvenient or distant parking, drivers want to focus, public choice. This map shows a new vision for the center as the shape of the Beaverton citizens through Civic Plan. It represents the district for pedestrians and new ways to travel through the city center, a network of open space Creekside, and the catalytic site can accommodate infill sites also important to promote redevelopment.

A pedestrian district "What? A pedestrian district is an area contiguous and connected, often served by a central base of public parking, in which it is easy to go from one of the next destination.

The city center includes the area between the road and highway 217 Hocken Library, and two major cities MAX stations and transit centers round the central Beaverton.

Beaverton Canyon residents want to be a fun, urban, pedestrian-friendly area. Currently, the Canyon is a noisy, unshaded, and scary place to walk. Not enough safe routes for pedestrians to reach their destination, and there are few people walking through difficult to access.

In the future, Canyon will be reshaped into an efficient, accessible avenues where the traffic moving smoothly and efficiently with enhancements including:

Wider sidewalks with street trees, café seating, and street lighting
On-street parking (if possible)
New road connecting the north and south to improve accessibility for pedestrians, cyclists and local traffic cars
Improve pedestrian and bicycle traffic through at key
