 The differences: Worthless, meaningless, pointless:

 + Worthless: vô giá trị (st), vô dụng (sb) - hiểu theo kiểu dân dã là như thế:))
+ Meaningless: vô ý nghĩa (với 1 câu nói hay 1 sự việc ji đấy).
+ Pointless: ko đáng để làm, chẳng có mục đích ji đáng làm...(nôm na là như vậy:))
Bạn cứ dựa theo ngữ cảnh để sử dụng cho đúng nhóe!:D

Uhm...


When you say you want to shed something, you mean that you want to be free from something you don't want.

Here's an example I've taken from OALD, your argument here seems to be invalid. I think "shed a few pound" is more frequently -used than drop a few pound.


a quick way to shed unwanted pounds (= extra weight or fat on your body)
