These days jobs are hard to find, but nowadays many job seekers are finding that they don’t just have to pass an interview – they have to take a psychometric test as 1 $..........$. Psychometric tests, which look a bit like old-fashioned intelligence tests, are usually taken under exam conditions. They are designed to reveal information about a candidate’s attitudes, values, and beliefs and to show whether or 2 $..........$ a candidate is suited to a particular job. Over the last 20 years they have become more and more popular, and over 90% of the UK’s largest companies use psychometric tests as 3 $..........$ of their recruitment procedure. Many job applicants are afraid of psychometric tests because there is very little you can do to prepare for them. However, employers seem to like them and – for the moment at least – it looks as if they are here to stay.
