Write a paragraph of typical Vietnamese cultural features(Viết một đoạn văn các nét văn hóa điển hình Việt nam )
Any country around the world has its own custom. However, being a Vietnamese people, I’m proud that my mother land has some unique customs that present intrinsic value deserving to be respected. One of them which is mostly prevalent is worshiping family ancestors at home. Firstly, this custom shows the morality of descendants to their former generations, which is analogous with when drinking water, remember its source. Unlike some European countries who just pay their respect to their ancestors by visiting graveyard in some special occasions, Vietnamese people take care of their altar every day at home, though with just simple things like: water, fresh fruit and flowers, this action is absolutely hallowed. Another good aspect of this custom is enhancing the family connection. Given that when mother prays in front of altar, her children will do the same in the time coming. Children will ask what is the meaning of respecting ancestors and who they are? How much children will learn later after hearing some explanations from their parents, how much the improvement of their morals will increase. In terms of spirituality, worshiping altar at home is somehow a way to be protected by ancestors who passed by. Nowadays, science proves that death is not the end; it is clear that our ancestors will follow and search for us or smile with us, who day by day commemorate them, on their heaven. They, of course, will bring luck to their descendants if they are a source of thankfulness. In short, each person need have time to meditate on their origin. Spending just about five minutes in front of alter is enough to nurture their concern about past generations. Therefore, it is obviously that the custom of worshiping family ancestors of Vietnam is worthy to be adopted by other countries.

Write a paragraph of typical Vietnamese cultural features(Viết một đoạn văn các nét văn hóa điển hình Việt nam )
Dàn ý:

Main idea: The national costume "ao dai" is considered one of the most important cultural features of Vietnam.

Idea 1: "Ao dai"'s parts.
  • Ao dai is often made of silk.
  • It has 2 parts: the back flap and the front flap.
  • The back flap consists of hooks used as fasteners, 2 sleeves, the inside seam and the main hook and hole.
  • The front flap contains collar buttons, a collar, the seam and the waist.
  • Ao dai is often worn with white trousers and a conical hat (nón lá).
Idea 2: Ao dai's origin
  • Originally, before the Nguyen dynasty, women wore Chinese-style costumes, which was the inspiration of the first ao dai.
  • In the 19th century, ao dai, which is the first version of which Vietnamese use nowadays, was ordered to be made in order to distinguish Vietnamese people from the Chinese.
  • Ao dai has gone through many modernizations. However, the most notable modernization is Cat Tuong's, as it became a popular sensation for many Vietnamese people then.
  • Saigon designers redesigned Cat Tuong's version of ao dai to make the Ao Dai worn nowadays.
  • After the Vietnam war, there were various designs of ao dai, many of which are Westernized.
  • Ao dai has been awarded many prizes and widely recognized around the world.
Idea 3: Ao dai's position in the modern world:
  • Ao dai gives its Vietnamese wearers patriotic and nostalgic feelings, no matter when and where it is worn.
  • Ao dai is now a standard for most formal occasions, such as weddings, and it is often required as a uniform in many workplaces and schools.
  • Ao dai has always been an inspiration for arts, music, fashion, and literature.
  • Ao dai is considered one of Vietnam's most important features.
  • Ao dai has always been a part of each Vietnamese person's life.
Conclusion: Although ao dai has existed for a very long time, and some people think that it is too traditional and old for the modern world, ao dai will always remain as an important cultural features of Vietnam.
