Some believe that we should focus on news in our own nations, while others believe that worldwide news is more important. While I prefer the former viewpoint, both are equally valid for reasons that will be discussed further below.
If a person believes that it is more necessary to watch news from his own nation, he may choose to do so since being aware of such news is crucial to his livelihood. An excellent example is tax news. Because taxes directly influence the great majority of people's income, knowing this information can help them manage their finances ahead of time. News concerning company rules is also relevant for entrepreneurs, as it is typically in their best interests to operate within the law. Furthermore, by paying close attention to news concerning our own countries, we may have a better understanding of our own position. In reality, if one wants to alter the country in which he lives, this is a must. Someone who wishes to promote women's rights, for example, should keep up with news about women's concerns in his own nation, such as domestic discrimination and bullying.
The reasons for focusing on tales from other parts of the world, on the other hand, can be just as compelling. When it comes to making an informed decision about traveling overseas, watching foreign news is undoubtedly beneficial. Anyone who has seen stories regarding Europe's significant coronavirus infection rate knows that visiting European nations for pleasure is totally out of the question. Furthermore, even if the state of foreign events does not directly affect us, keeping up with global news may be useful in talks with family and friends. Being well-informed about world concerns in general might make us appear as insightful and reasonable.
To summarize, it is preferable if one can afford to pay equal attention to both domestic and foreign news, but if this is not possible, I would like to watch domestic news.
