I got to see Taylor Swift in concert on her 1989 World Tour in Washington, DC, and, it was even greater then I had imagined it would be. I remember the first time I heard "Tim McGraw" on the radio when Taylor became my favorite artists. I watched her grow from being a high school girl singing about her crush on the football player to being a pop music phenomenon.she has been a role model to me for so long and watching her perform reminded me why.
1. She is a good role model
Her music is great, and it is also appropriate for everyone. You will never see her on the news getting arrested or having a Britney breakdown. I could take a small child to see Taylor Swift's concert. I can show my granny her songs. She is the modest, and has remained that way even tough she's possibly the biggest star in the world. She has admitted that before she makes any decision, she thinks of the young girls that are watching her and looking up to her and what those girl and the parents will think of her decisions, and it is refreshing to see a celebrity who sings of that before they think of themselves and having fun.
2. She is humble
She is one of the most famous people in the world, but she has not let fame to go her hat head. She has a good head on her shoulders and has always stayed true to herself, even in the international spotlight. She doesn't think she is too good to personally interact with her fans on social media, and she still gets super excited every time she wins an award (even though she probably has like hundreds of them by now). Down-to-earth is the best way to describe her
3.She really loves her fans
She refers to her fans as her friends, randomly sends them Christmas presents and stands up for them on social media. She is appreciative of each and every one of them and acknowledges that the reason for her fame is devoted Swifties. Everything she does is for her fans. Her fan base is so strong that she has the best fans in the world and completely deserves them
4.She gives good advice
At this concert, she spoke for a moment about insecurity. She said that the only one who hears the voice in your head telling you you're not good enough is you. She will tell you that a boy doesn't define you you and you are more than the mean things someone might say or do to you. Her music has helped me through many tough situations. She's very open when it comes to sharing her experience and that is a big part of why so many people love her and see her as "relatable"
5. She turned a dream into reality
She turned a childhood dream into an empire. The girl in the sundress singing about the boy in her class became an international music superstar. It took a lot of time and hard work but she achieved what she always dreamed about. She overcame so much adversity along the way and has proved herself to be a prominent member of the music community. Taylor is a real-life example of how working hard and being passionate and determined can help you achieve your dreams and that is so inspirational
Indeed, I can't think of an artist I could I would ever want to love more than Taylor.
