Last week an exhibition of paintings by famous artists was organized by the cultural and Artistic Association at The Art Gallery on Nguyen Hue street. Being very fond of paintings, I myself went there early in the morning.

When I arrived, the Art Gallery had been packed with people. Groups by groups of people were entering the exhibition halls, their faces were radiant with joy.

On the walls, different patterns of modern paintings were hung: charcoal drawings, pencil drawings and oil paintings were on display. Most of them reflect daily activities and some of them bring us into a world of imagination and dreams. As I strolled through the exhibition halls, I heard the voices of lecturers who were telling the visitors about the artists and their works.

An oil painting by Lu Tong Dao, one of the most famous artists in HCM city, portraying a scene at twilight in the country attracted my attention best: on a long and lonely road, a buffalo tender, sitting astride on his animal, is leisurely playing a flute on his way home. Gorgeous glows of the twilight are spreading on the golden rice fields, turning them into yellow velvet carpets. From afar, in the blue sky, a flock of storks are stretching their white wings, gently flying towards their warm nests. The painting did remind me of my happy boyhood in my native village where I lived my happiest days in my life.

Being rather tired after hours of walking I sat down on a bench and talked to others about the exhibition. The exhibition offered me precious minutes of relaxation and enriched my imagination. It brought me back into my happy and peaceful past, full of love and tenderness, among my dear ones. Before leaving the exhibition halls, I bought the postcards of my favorite paintings to keep as souvenirs or to send to friends abroad.

My parents gave me a trip to Sapa as a present for my effort in the previous school year and the trip was an unforgettable memory to me. My family got there in the morning when the weather was cool but it began to become warmer at noon and in the afternoon but in the evening, the outside was quite cold and even having snow at night. It was such an amazing experience that I really enjoyed it. We also went sightseeing and the natural beauty here took my breath away. The romantic and peaceful atmosphere with ranges of mountains surrounded by fog soon made a strong impression on me. I also had an opportunity to try seating on a cable car and enjoyed how breathtaking the view was. That was the first time in my life that I could see mountain, forests and waterfalls with my own eyes. The next day, my mom and I spent time going to the market where many of activities took place and I bought some souvenirs as gifts for my close friend. Especially, I was totally surprised at the ability of speaking English of local residents, especially small children. Besides, I also had a chance to try local food such as Sapa Cap Nach Pork, bamboo sticky rice, Tao Meo Wine… Each has its unique flavors that all satisfied my tastes. Finally my family had to say goodbye to Sapa but I still hope to come back here one day in a nearest future.

When I was a little girl, I went to a museum near my home that was exhibiting life-size wax sculptures.
It was in a large room of the museum. The wax figures showed people from different occupations and different poses. Each looked so real that it almost seemed as if a real person was actually standing there and staying perfectly still. For the first half hour when I was in the room, I was sure that one of the figures would begin to move, and that I would finally prove that they were really just people. The skill of the sculptor was amazing in how each one was perfectly made to exhibit the human body’s texture, posture and size.
I was especially amazed at the wax figure of the cowboy, it seemed that he came right out of an old western movie with his cowboy pants, gun and spurred hoots. There was also the figure of a woman at a beach, with a swimsuit, towel, sunglasses and surfboard. There was a policeman, his hand held out to stop traffic with a whistle in his mouth. There was a mechanic, with his hand resting on the hood of a ear that he had just fixed and the illusion of grease smudges all over his hands, face and clothes.
As a young girl, I was amazed at how someone could make a statue look so real.

Describe a visit to an interesting exhibtion.:meomun1:meomun10:meomun21:Tuzki1:Tuzki2:Tuzki35
Recently, I visited an exhibition that was held in the Science and Art Cultural hall of our town with my friends. It was titled as ‘The Science and Crafts Exhibition’. I was really very impressed with it. It was a huge exhibition, but still not as big as the national and international ones held in Delhi.
In the Science and Art Cultural hall

We entered the gates of the hall at 3 o’clock in the noon. There we saw so many decorated stalls which were colorful nearby. That vast space was decorated in magnificent, bright and pink color and was lit up with countless lights. There seemed to be more and more as we were stepping further into the hall. All the stalls were beautifully decorated by different colors’ chart-papers and fabrics. It was definitely obvious that all the participants had used their skill and imaginations with their shops. There were two sections in the hall. First one was for science projects and second was for the craft projects. All of them were handmade.
Even I and my friends enjoyed some food stalls there. There were some shops selling tea, coffee, cold drinks and snacks where we refreshed ourselves. There were some amusements and rides like merry go round and giant wheel. We spent approximately five hours at the exhibition. All the people including women and children were going from corner to corner. All of them were admiring the beauty and uniqueness of all kinds of stalls set up in the hall. The stalls were looking like small shops.
About Science Section

Our first impression on entering the section of science was like that thing whole thing looked like a fairyland. There were so many scientists who came from all over the India. They belonged to different-different states. We visited so many domes that were presenting science, technology, and communications. There were various kinds of models of computers, satellites, and rockets. We saw some tanks also there that are used in the fights and defense. We felt so proud of our progress in Science and technology. We also had the experience of robots there. There were some other stalls of electronic goods, robot toys, and science fiction books.
About Craft Section

Then we entered into the section of Craft and Art. There were so many Artists and craftsmen from all over the states. They displayed so many things that catch our eyes. The potteries, handbags, textiles, shawls, handicrafts, paintings, hats, jewelry, handlooms, jute crafts were just some of them.
We realized that the craftsmen and artists must have spent months or years in preparing for this exhibition. What we all liked the best were the shawls from Kashmir. It was really amazing to know that what a man can do with his two hands. In the craft section, there were also some prizes for the best-decorated colorful stall, the best artist, the best craftsmen etc. I believe that the craftsman from the Kashmiri stall must have got a prize.
Conclusion (Brief report on A Visit To an Exhibition)

We are really happy as we got such a great opportunity to see the art, craft, and science from various states in this exhibition. I am glad as I got a chance to see the wonders that the people of our country have to offer to the world time to time. The exhibits were really good and polite. They also gave us important information about the different states. We saw so many different cultural aspects of all states of India. I enjoyed our visit to the exhibition very much and I accept that it was one of the best experiences of my life.
