a,. x : 0.5 + 3x - 10=5
$ x :\dfrac{1}{2} +3x = 15$
$x.2 +3x =15$
$x(2+3) = 15$
$x . 5 = 15 $
$=>x =3$
b. x:0.12 + x:0.25 + 5x =17
$x: \dfrac{3}{25}+ x:\dfrac{1}{4} + 5x = 17$
$x. \dfrac{25}{3} + x.4 + 5x = 17$
$x(\dfrac{25}{3}+4 +5) = 17$
$x. \dfrac{52}{3}= 17$
$=>x= \dfrac{51}{52}$
