Dear Jenny,
Sorry I didn't answer your last letter. If I
1/ had realised how serious the situation was, I would have written to you straight away. You obviously need my advice. I only wish I
2/ to be with you now to help you. I think it's about time you
3/ left your job and
4/ started to look for a new one. If your boss
5/ insists on treating you so unfairly, then you have very little choice. You say that you'd rather a job you hate than no job at all, but is that really true? If you
6/ were worried about money, don't be. You can come home and live with wour father and me for a while. I'd rather you
7/ lived nearer home anyway. Your old boss at the library, Mr.Green, say you could have your old job back if you
8/ want it. You could have been Head Librarian by now if you 10
9/ hadn't left ! Anyway, I'll let you know if I
10/ hear about any other suitable jobs. Take care and let me know if you
11/ make any decisions.
Love, Mum.
