*“happen to” được dùng khi muốn nói điều gì xảy ra với ai hoặc bất ngờ xảy ra việc gì.
- He suddenly thought that he might have misunderstood her.
=> It crossed his mind that he might have misunderstood her.
*Cross one's mind = enter one's head = occur to sb : Chợt nảy ra ý định
- If nothing unfortunate happens, I will see you next week.
=> All being good keeps going on, I’ll see you next week

By chance: Tình cờ. Và happen to là một cách để dùng khi muốn nói điều gì xảy ra với ai hoặc bất ngờ xảy ra việc gì.
2.It crossed his mind that he might have misunderstood her.
suddenly think/thought = cross/crossed someone's mind: chợt nghĩ ra
3.All being well, I'll see you next week.
If nothing unfortunate happens: Nếu không có chuyện gì bất trắc xảy ra = All being well: nếu mọi chuyện ổn thỏa
All cũng là cách nói thay thế cho mệnh đề "If" nhưng mình ít khi gặp lắm
