Khi sáng mình mới hỏi thầy. Thầy bảo hồi trước trong tiếng Anh nói thì dùng was có thể chấp nhận được được, nhưng giờ thì qui về were hết dù cho sách giáo khoa có ghi cả were và was. Trong thi cử, các kì thi thì đáp án was giờ cũng không được chấp nhận nên tóm lại cứ qui về were, không nên làm was á ^^

Khi sáng mình mới hỏi thầy. Thầy bảo hồi trước trong tiếng Anh nói thì dùng was có thể chấp nhận được được, nhưng giờ thì qui về were hết dù cho sách giáo khoa có ghi cả were và was. Trong thi cử, các kì thi thì đáp án was giờ cũng không được chấp nhận nên tóm lại cứ qui về were, không nên làm was á ^^

"was" hay "were" đều đúng. Nhưng sử dụng từ nào còn phụ thuộc vào ngữ cảnh của tâm trạng hay hành động của sự việc đó. Ví dụ như 2 câu này:

1. if she were to paint the house pink then I would definitely move out.
2. If she was Chinese then I would try to speak to her in Chinese.

Thế nhưng sử dụng WAS thì khá hiếm nên chị vẫn khuyên mọi người sử dụng hết bằng WERE để đảm bảo an toàn, không có nhiều giáo viên sẽ trừ điểm oan của mọi người, và giờ thì WERE cũng phổ biến hơn was trong tường hợp này rồi.
