1. "Which of his sons inherited his estate?" asked another.
=> Another asked which of his sons had inherited his estate.
2. "Who is going to live in the big house?" enquired a third.
=> A third asked who was going to live in the big house.
3. "Who is playing next week?" he asked.
=> He asked who was playing the week before.
4. "Who will be umpiring that match?" asked Tom.
=> Tom asked who would be umpiring that match.
+, Nếu câu 3 và câu 4 của em đúng thì ta xét câu trực tiếp:
- Tại sao câu 3 là : "... he asked" và câu 4 là :"... asked Tom" mà cấu trúc vẫn như nhau ạ?

- Tại sao câu 3 là : "... he asked" và câu 4 là :"... asked Tom" mà cấu trúc vẫn như nhau ạ?

dịch nghĩa của toàn bộ câu 4 là: "Ai sẽ là trọng tài trận đấu đó?" Tom hỏi.
=>vẫn dùng cấu trúc bình thường như các câu khác
