Hi there. It’s Mary. Sorry, bit of a weird one. I forgot to take the lamb out of the freezer for the dinner party this evening and now it’s too late. I’m a total disaster! Anyway, I was listening to that cookery programme on the radio, you know, the one I love with that guy from the telly, and they were doing this Moroccan vegetable rice dish thing. Er sounded superb so I pulled over and quickly jotted down the recipe; I’ve got everything it needs except cumin and fresh coriander and the thing is, there’s no way I’m going to get the chance to grab any; I’ve been running around all day and even if this tailback lets up there’s no way I’ll be back before seven. OK, here’s the thing; could you do me a massive favour and get some for me on your way back before you come round? I know you’re probably busy too but there’s that lovely big supermarket round the corner from Uncle Alan’s place on your way home with the special sections for different cuisines. It wouldn’t take you five minutes, and you’re so much more experienced than me; I’d probably buy the wrong thing. Er please? For your favourite sibling? I’ll tell everyone at the party that you helped me cook the dish, if it’s any good that is. Mum would never believe that though, would she! Well, anyway, call it a family favour; I’ll pay you back somehow, huh trust me! Call me. Love you. Bye!
