2. Modal WILL: (use to make requests, offers and promises)
a. Will + you + V1 ......, please? (DiÔn t¶ lêi yªu cÇu)

b. I + will + V1 +......? (DiÔn t¶ lêi ®Ò nghÞ lµm ®iÒu g× cho ai)
Eg: - The phone is ringing. I will answer for you.
- You look tired, Dad. I will make you a glass of lemonade.
. Shall + I + V1...? (Dïng diÔn t¶ lµm ®iÒu g× cho ai)
- The phone is ringing. Shall I answer it?
- I am going to the post office. Shall I post the letter?

Unit 10:
Adjectives followed by an infinitive
S + be + adj. + to-inf.
It's + adj. + to-inf.
- He was surprised to get my letter
- He is certain to win the game.

Adjectives followed by a noun clause
Eg: - I am glad (that) you can make it.
- Everybody felt happy (that) the trip was safe.

Unit 12:
1. The past continuous tense
S + was / were + V-ing
a. DiÔn t¶ mét hµnh ®éng ®ang diÔn ra t¹i mét thêi ®iÓm nhÊt ®Þnh trong qu¸ khø.
Eg: - What were you doing at 4 p.m yesterday?
- At this time last Sunday, She was playing games.
b. DiÔn t¶ mét hµnh ®éng ®ang diÔn ra bÊt chît cã mét hµnh ®éng kh¸c x¶y ®Õn ë qu¸ khø.
Eg: - Last night when I was doing my homework, the electricity went out.

2. Present progressive tense: 1 - to talk about the future
2 - to show changes with get and become
3 - to express the complaint with always
eg: 1- Thanh and I are coming to San Francisco on Monday.
eg: 2- The boys are getting taller.
eg: 3- Bao is always forgetting his homework.
- He is always talking in class.
- Your brother was always coming to work late.
S + be + always + V-ing.

1. Reported / indirect speech
Statements , Questions in reported speech:
