Gods of Egypt is a fantastic action film. Its base idea is about Egyptian gods. The film is a portrait of a Egyptian mortal hero who help Horus kill Seth and be a king of Egypt. It was directed by Alex Proyas who are very famous about many films such as Knowing, Dark city, etc. Its actor and actress are very famous too. Many famous actor and actress star this film like Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Gerald Butler, etc The film has the large money budgets about 140 million dollars. As the expect, it has many good achievments and good reviews from critics.
The film is about the war between Seth – god of desert, storms, disorders, violence in Egyptian religion and Horus – god of kingship and sky. The first scene in film is the feast of the throne of Horus from his father – Osiris. When the feast is happened, Seth comes and use his army to kill his brother – Osiris in spite of Osiris's good behavior. Next, Seth fight with Horus and he hook Horus's eyes- the power of Horus. Seth prepare to kill Horus but when Horus's wife conjure he doesn’t do that and she will be Seth's wife. Seth accept her claim. He require Horus guard the Imperial Tomb. And Seth become a king of Egypt. However, SeTH is a terrible king. He requires people build many expensive construction. The life of people under the reign of Seth is very miserable. The most terrible thing he do is require people who dead need enough money to go to another world and who doesn't have enough will be eat by monster. And there are a thief named Bek who loved Zaya. But one day, Zaya become a slave to serve a mandarin. One day, they found a paper said that one eye of Horus is stored in pyramid. So they decide to stole it but, Zaya is death by a arrow. Bek give eye to Horus but he doesn't have enough power. SO Horus conjure Ra – king of gods also grandfather of Horus. Ra give Horus a bottle of water to pour into sand of Seth will kill his power. In Egypt, Seth know stoling of eye and he start his war. Nephthys army fight very brave with Seth army. Nevertheless, they lose and take the Nephthys's wing. Horus wife in palace is use the ring to meet Horus. Come back with Horus. He and Bek fight with a giant snack. But with support of Hathor – Horus's wife, they win the war. Horus need another eye so they come to Pyramid to solve Sphinx's question. They cannot answer the question but with supporting of Thoth they are win. But they are all plan of Seth and Seth take Thoth's brain. Absorbing the Osiris's heart, Thoth's brain, Horus's eye and wings from Nephthys, Seth become strong and go to solar barge to meet his father – Ra. He kill Ra and freeing Aphophis to destroy the world to be immortal. Horus fight with Seth in the top of obelisk and lose. When Bek drop out, he throw another eye to Horus. Horus has two choice are save Bek or claiming a eye. Horus save Bek and he relize his power and kill Seth. A crown is came back to Horus and he is a king of Egypt. He bring Zaya back the life. With the reign of Horus, Egypt become powerful and rich. In spite of terrible starting, the ending of film is good and romantic.
Critics say that the film is very good. It doesn't like any film in action style. It also has romantic endings too. The overall of film is not just fighting scene, it also has romantic meaning. The visuals, music and graphics are incredible. I really recommend you to see this film. Although it doesn't have any Oscar award, it become famous film in many country and many people like it.
