Little Pea was a poor farmer's daughter. Her mother died when she was young so her father got married again. Her new mother was very cruel to Little Pea. Lttle Pea had to do the chores all day. This made her father very upset. And he soon died.

That year, Little Pea's village held a festival. The prince wanted to choose a girl from that village. Little Pea's new mother didn't make new clothes for Little Pea. But a fairy appeared and magically changed Little Pea's rags into beautiful clothes.

Little Pea ran to the festival and dropped her shoe. The prince found the lost shoe and dicided to marry Little Pea.
