The presented line graph illustrates four different countries, namely the United Kingdom, Sweden, Italy and Portugal in terms of the amount of CO2 discharged per capital over a period of 40 years from 1967 to 2007. Units are measured in metric tons.
Overall, the CO2 output per person in the UK fell gradually, whereas Italy and Portugal significant rise in the CO2 emissions per capital over the examined period. Simultaneously, the figure for Sweden indicated a fluctuation of the volume of CO2 emitted per person. However, it should be noted that the UK was the highest by 2007.
In 1967, around 11 tons of CO2 per capital in the UK, followed by Sweden with 9 tons. The amount of CO2 per head in Italy is just above 4 tons, while ones in Portugal produced approximately 1 ton. Regarding to 2007, the UK and Sweden witnessed a considerable reduction of 2 and 3 tons in the volumes of CO2 per citizen respectively, while Italy and Portugal escalated steadily 4 and 5 tons respectively.
