I woke up when...(hear) a noise downtairs. I...(get)out of bed quietly because my wife...(still/sleep) &...(go)to the top of the stairs. It was dark, but I coud see two men downstairs in the living room.They...(try) to open the safe.When I...(switch on) the light, the two men...(run) into the kitchen & anything, I...(hear) a police car pull up outside the house. A neighbour of mine ....(see) the men breaking into my house &...(phone) for the police.

I woke up when I was hearing a noise downstairs.I got out of bed quietly because my wife still slept and I went go to the top of the stairs.It was dark,but I could see two men downstairs in the living room.They tried to open the safe.When I switched on the light,the two men were running into the kitchen.I heard a police car pull up outside the house.A neighbor of mine saw the men breaking into my house and phoned for the police
