Funds for this program have been provided by the Ford Foundation. This fellowship program seeks talented young filmmakers who demonstrate social commitment and professional potential in directing, screenwriting, and producing feature and documentary films for Vietnam, or in the critical analysis of films. After training, these individuals are expected to contribute to the development of an independent Vietnamese cinema that can offer audiences both entertainment and the opportunity for reflection on contemporary social issues.
