The two bar charts above demonstrate the figure of the evaluation of happiness represented by married or unmarried couples at different age groups as well as the impact of children on the general ratings of parents.
According to the first graph, couples' levels of happiness are significantly higher than those who are still single. Married people, particularly those in their youth, make for 44% of the happy rating list. In the group of adults aged 50 to 64, however, the picture is entirely different. People in the 30-49 or older age groups, on the other hand, have a high level of happiness in common. Unmarried people, on the other hand, do not have it easy; they only feel happy once in a while, accounting for 34% of the population. Young and middle-aged adults, on the other hand, make for just 21-22 percent of the population.
As parents, the influence of their children has a significant impact on how these couples feel. The ranking fluctuates substantially depending on the age of the children due to the demand of various categories in educating and raising youngsters. While 44 percent of parents are happiest when their children are still in school, just 41 percent of parents are pleased when their children are older. On the other side, not having a child may be a fantastic method for couples to be happy since they are not under any strain or worry from children.
In general, happiness in the United States is below 50%. Regardless of whether or not they have children, married people are happier than single individuals.
