The united states of America is a very unique country. Most American citizens have (1) that were inmigrants or are immigrants themselves. In the past, many people moved to America (2) religious freeedom and new opportunites. This did not happen automatically. Instead, a series of events (3) to the settlement and developmnt of the united states. One of the most important and famous event was (4) settlement of Plumouth, Massachusetts by a group known as the pilgrims. The pilgrims are (5) protestant christian settles from England. They moved to America in 1620 from England to escape religious persecution. Their king wanted (6) to worship at the church of England, an Anglian church.(7), they did not believe in this form of Christiany and wanted to "purify" Christian religious practices. They believed in a personal relationship with God (8) valued simplicity. They were frushtrated with their country's views about religion and decided to leave.
