A friend of mine, Mary is working in the international sales division at an electronic firm. She has just returned from a trip to Japan. She was asked to go to Japan because she can speak Japanese. When she was a business student at Boston University, she studied Japanese for 4 years. She had never had the opportunity to use her Japanese until she went to Tokyo last year. While she was there, she spoke Japanese every day and enjoyed every minute of it. She's anxious to return.

Crackers firing to scare away the evil spirits is part of the celebration but it is banned by the Government now.
