We are said to have been spending money carelessly

Eddie is claimed to have recorded a song.

Mike is supposed to have been digging the garden.
Cấu trúc của nó như sau:
S1 + say + that + S2 + V2 + …
➔ S2 + (tobe) + said + to Vinf… (Khi V1 cùng thì với tobe)
➔ S2 + (tobe) + said + to have Ved/PII +… (Khi V1 khác thì với tobe)
Hoặc:
It is said that + S2 + V2 + …
Một số cấu trúc đi kèm với các động từ khác như:

• Thought: Nghĩ;
• Supposed: Cho là;
• Believed: Tin tưởng;
• Reported: Báo cáo, tường thuật;
• Known: Biết;
• Expected: Mong đợi;
• Considered: Xem xét.
