Bạn xác định các thành phần chính cần thiết của câu: S + V + O +........
Theo công thức, lấy tân ngữ (O) câu chủ động làm chủ ngữ câu bị động.
Động từ chính của câu (V) được dùng lại dưới dạng "be + Vpp", trong đó be chia theo thì chính của câu chủ động.
Chủ ngữ (S) của câu chủ động giờ sẽ viết by + O (S) (bởi ai đó)
Sau khi viết hết các phần cơ bản còn lại của câu chủ động (trừ trạng từ), nếu câu chủ động có trạng từ, viết trạng từ chỉ nơi chốn trước by + (Someone), trạng từ chỉ thời gian sau by + Someone.
Đôi khi, có thể lược bỏ "by + O (S)" nếu:

1. Chủ ngữ chính của câu chủ động không xác định rõ là ai, hoặc là chỉ chung mọi người. (vd: We, they, everyone, .....)
2. Chủ ngữ chính của câu chủ động không quan trọng như tân ngữ. (Vd: My house is painted (by XYZ Company)
3. Chủ ngữ chính của câu chủ động quá hiển nhiên. (Vd: I am paid weekly (by my boss))
   
4. Chủ ngữ chính của câu nói (S + say/tell/... +....) có câu nói chỉ chung (We are reminded to wear a seatbelt (by the driver))

Còn lại bạn tra mạng các trường hợp đặc biệt nhé !
Lấy ví dụ:
Câu 1 có hai tân ngữ ("Ann" và "some bananas and some flowers")
Cho nên có thể viết theo 1 trong 2 tân ngữ đều được, nhưng chú ý nghĩa, ngữ pháp của câu.
We gave Ann some bananas and some flowers.
-> Ann was given some bananas and some flowers (by us)
-> Some bananas and some flowers were given to Ann (by us) (Đưa cái gì cho ai: give something to someone)
Câu 2 là một câu hỏi, nhưng ngữ pháp vẫn áp dụng.

Từ để hỏi	thì (hiện tại)	chủ ngữ chính	động từ chính	tân ngữ​

Viết lai:

How​	is​	this amount of money​	spent​	(by you)?​
Từ để hỏi	be chia theo thì hiện tại	tân ngữ làm chủ ngữ	động từ chính (Vpp)	by + chủ ngữ trước

Lưu ý: by you không cần thiết.
