Để phân biệt giữa dạng -ing và dạng -ed, bạn có thể suy nghĩ đơn giản là dạng -ing thường nói về tính chất của sự vật, sự việc, con người, còn dạng -ed sẽ nói về cảm xúc của con người đang cảm nhận được. Ví dụ như annoyed là bị khó chịu, còn annoying là khó chịu. Cụ thể ở câu trên thì "Người dẫn tour là một người rất khó chịu" (làm cho người ta khó chịu).
