Since English is spoken worldwide, it is a priority to master it. And during the Covid -19 pandemic, which makes it impossible for students to attend the lessons, new and effective English learning methods are of importance. There are also some old but gold one, but in the new era, how has it changed to adapt the students’ requirements ? In this presentation, I will introduce you some news ways to learn.
First, learning English from videos or music is a great idea, especially for auditory students. In the age of technology, it is simple to search for an English -speaking video, which would improve finders’ vocabulary as well as their pronunciation. For example, BBC news or CNN news are always trustworthy resource when it comes to listening skill practice or watching a cooking video with subtitles on YouTube. And the most interesting part of this method is that all the information and knowledge is presented in the form of video in order that we can absorb it with ease.
Reading short stories is another enjoyable approach to language in general and for English in particular. Its operation is based on the reader's emotions. It stands to reason that words relating to situations will be kept in mind longer than those are rote learned. At the same time, they will be recalled whenener the same thing happens. Moreover, it has been shown that learning vocabulary through vision and feelings helps English conquerors conprehend the precise circumstances in which words are used.
To sum up, there are thousand of ways to master a language. Nonetheless, in anyway practice makes perfect, try to find suitable methods to learn and let just get down to work.
