Nowadays, Water pollution has become a controversial issue that puts difficulties and pressures on our life.
Water pollution is defined as the presence in groundwater of toxic chemicals and biological agents that exceed what is naturally found in the water and may pose a threat to human health and/or the environment. There are many causes of water pollution. Many factories and company dump industrial waste into the rivers and the lakes. Sewage from household is another cause. Also, many farmers use pesticides and herbicides to kill insects and weeds. The chemical and biological agents represent the main causes of water pollution and are generically referred to as water pollutants. As the results, water pollution can have dramatic effects to our life. Humans can die if they drink untreated water. Because of drinking contaminted water, people can get many diseases: typhoid, cholera, hepatitis. Water pollution can cause an entire ecosystem to collapse if left unchecked. Many animals may be dead due to polluted water. Water pollution is a big problem. We must act now to reduce it for a better life.
