a. [tex]A=\dfrac{x(\sqrt{x}-1)-4(\sqrt{x}-1)}{2(1-\sqrt{x})-\sqrt{x}(1-x)}-\dfrac{x(\sqrt{x}+1)-4(\sqrt{x}+1)}{2(1+\sqrt{x})+\sqrt{x}(1-x)}=\dfrac{4-x}{2-\sqrt{x}-x}-\dfrac{x-4}{2+\sqrt{x}-x}[/tex]

[tex]=\dfrac{(2-\sqrt{x})(2+\sqrt{x})}{(1-\sqrt{x})(\sqrt{x}+2)}-\dfrac{(\sqrt{x}-2)(\sqrt{x}+2)}{(2-\sqrt{x})(\sqrt{x}+1)}[/tex][tex]=\dfrac{\sqrt{x}-2}{\sqrt{x}-1}+\dfrac{\sqrt{x}+2}{\sqrt{x}+1}[/tex] [tex]=\dfrac{x-\sqrt{x}-2+x+\sqrt{x}-2}{x-1}=\dfrac{2x-4}{x-1}[/tex]

b. [tex]x=\dfrac{(2+\sqrt{3})\sqrt{7-4\sqrt{3}}}{\sqrt{2}-1}=\dfrac{(2+\sqrt{3})(2-\sqrt{3})}{\sqrt{2}-1}=\dfrac{4-3}{\sqrt{2}-1}=\sqrt{2}+1[/tex]

[tex]A=\dfrac{2x-4}{x-1}=\dfrac{2(\sqrt{2}+1)-4}{\sqrt{2}+1-1}=\dfrac{2\sqrt{2}-2}{\sqrt{2}}=2-\sqrt{2}[/tex]
