Mọi người cho mình hỏi các bài này ạ:
Ex1: Fill in each blank with a suitable PREPOSITION / PARTICLE:

1. He'll inherit the money when he comes ................. age.
2. The performance on the first night came................... pretty.
3. Kate fell...........with her boyfriend and they stopped seeing each other.
4. Sorry, I'm late. Something cropped..............at the office.
5. Jane's very modest, always playing...........her success.
6. Check the bottle carefully to make sure they have not been tampered..............

Ex 2: Complete the second sentence without changing the meanig of the original sentence:

1. It is almost nine months since I stopped subscribing to that magazine.---- I cancelled.................................
2. A rather nasty problem has appeared.----We've come..........................................................
3. I have called this meeting in order to present the latest sales figures.----My purpose..................................
4. For further information, please send a self-addressed envelope to above address.----For further information can.......................................................
5. Anna couldn't understand her boyfriend's sense of humour.---It was Anna's boyfriend sense of humour........................

Mình cũng nghĩ câu 4 đề bài sai, còn không thì chỉ là dạng bị động bình thường thôi nhỉ?
Bạn cho mình hỏi luôn là cụm từ " come of age" có nghĩa là gì ?

Mình cũng nghĩ câu 4 đề bài sai, còn không thì chỉ là dạng bị động bình thường thôi nhỉ?
Bạn cho mình hỏi luôn là cụm từ " come of age" có nghĩa là gì ?

Câu 4 không phải đề sai mà là câu ở dạng bị động bạn nha

Come of age: to reach the point when you legally become an adult ( trích Cambridge dictionary)
Như vậy bạn thấy là khi anh ấy đủ 18 tuổi thì anh ấy sẽ được thừa kế tài sản.
Còn mình nói đề sai là do câu đầu của đề lại có chữ for. Nếu như for further information, can..... thì sẽ hơi kì ( mình định viết lại là can you please.... nhưng mà nó không hề make sense tí nào cả. Đã can rồi còn please. Nên là muốn nature nhất thì đưa về passive voice. Nhưng mà có chữ for thì passive lại hơi sai sai nên mình nghĩ bỏ luôn chữ for.
