5. What would you do to reduce pollution in our country if you were the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment?

If I were the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, the first thing I would do is to launch a nationwide campaign of conserving energy: turning off lights, computers, and electric appliances when not in use; using energy efficient light bulbs and appliances. I would encourage using public transports instead of using private cars, and I myself would do it first. Besides, I would encourage every family, school, organization or association to carry out the THREE-R movement: REUSE, REDUCE, RECYCLE.
I would fine heavily the companies which dump industrial waste without treatment. I would fine people who do bad things to environment: littering, disafforestation, and waste dumping into rivers. I would build the waste treatment systems and build parks everywhere. I would hold many meaningful activities for the environment such as: growing trees, taking care of public parks, protecting the rare animals and plants.

Nếu tôi là Bộ trưởng Bộ Tài nguyên và Môi trường, việc đầu tiên tôi sẽ làm là phát động chiến dịch toàn quốc tiết kiệm năng lượng: tắt bớt đèn, máy tính và thiết bị điện khi không dùng; sử dụng đèn và thiết bị điện tiết kiệm năng lượng. Tôi sẽ khuyến khích sử dụng phương tiện công cộng thay vì dùng xe hơi riêng và tôi sẽ làm gương trước. Bên cạnh đó tôi sẽ khuyến khích mọi gia đình, trường học, tổ chức và đoàn thế thực hiện 3-R: Tái sử dụng - Giảm bớt - Tái chế.
Tôi sẽ phạt nặng các công ti xả thải mà không xử lí. Tôi sẽ phạt những người làm tổn hại đến môi trường như: xả rác bừa bãi, phá rừng, đổ chất thài xuống sông. Tôi sẽ xây dựng những hệ thống xử lí chất thải và xây dựng các công viên khắp nơi. Tôi sẽ tổ chức các hoạt động ý nghĩa cho môi trường như: trồng cây, chăm sóc các công viên, bảo vệ thú và các loài cây quý hiếm.
