AIR POLLUTION

Environmental pollution is undeniably the most pressing issue facing any nation right now, and it has grown to be divisive and stressful to daily living. Particularly, the issue of air pollution has gotten progressively worse. Through the media, we can easily see images and articles that reflect the current state of the environment. Despite the fact that nations are making every effort to safeguard the environment and reduce atmospheric emissions, it seems that it is not enough.

Air pollution can be caused by liquids or gases that make the air harmful to breathing. There are two main types of air pollution: primary pollution and secondary pollution. Primary pollutants enter the air directly, such as smoke from factories and car fumes. Secondary pollutants are chemical substances that mix to pollute the air, just as a mixture of vehicle exhaust and factory smoke transforms to form more dangerous pollutants in the air and sunlight. Thousands of scientific studies and investigations over the past few decades show that massive industrial development and the over-exploitation of fossil fuel sources are the main causes of air pollution. The excessive release of carbon into the environment without treatment will further accelerate this process.

In some large cities where the transportation system is concentrated and developed, the burning of raw materials from those means of transport is released directly into the air, thereby forming extremely serious pollution. Or it is due to daily activities, which is also a cause that affects the air. It is a relatively small source of pollution, mainly due to human cooking activities for daily living.

WHO estimates that air pollution causes 7 million fatalities annually, with 4 million of those deaths occurring in the Asia-Pacific area. The consequences of air pollution are extremely heavy, it has become the main factor that makes the rate of people suffering from respiratory diseases, and cancer, ... increasing. A worldwide rise in allergies, particularly asthma, over the past four decades is now said to be linked with increased air pollution. The lungs and brains of children who grow up in polluted air offer further evidence of its destructive power. The old and ill, however, are the most vulnerable to the acute effects of heavily polluted stagnant air. They not only take the lives of millions of people but also cause economic damage.

Air pollution has a negative impact not only on human life but also on the ozone layer, which blocks solar radiation, and causes the greenhouse effect, causing the ice to melt continuously at the poles. The Earth's climate changes as a result of air pollution, increasing the frequency of natural disasters and making storms greater and more complicated than before. This will destroy the habitat of some species of organisms and plants on Earth.

Today, governments of other countries always strengthen cooperation and promote the use of clean and environmentally friendly energy sources such as solar energy, wind energy, water, etc., instead of using energy sources that involve toxic chemicals. At the same time, apply laws to limit behaviors that negatively affect the environment and natural resources of the Earth.
