There are many differences between living on a farm and living in a city. The farm life provides a natural environment, surrounded by trees, animals and the natural cycles of life. In a farming lifestyle, one works daily with the land, growing food and tending animals. Families that live farming lifestyle often stay together, with each member contributing to the running of the farm. A farmer places more importance on the necessity of things versus the wanting of things. It is more common for farmers to prioritize needs and they are less tempted by advertisements and commercialism. However, the environment of city life is based on concrete, buildings and very little observable nature. A city lifestyle provides work in the way of office buildings and retail shopping centers. City life is busier and it is more common for family members to move away from each other in order to pursue their own personal goals. The city life allows accessibility to more materialism and city people tend to equate their needs with their wants. City life is often competitive and people are more driven by materialistic wants. All in all, living on a farm and living in a city are two different lifestyle, especially the enviroment, family values and personal wants and needs.
