Nowadays, a lot of important inventions are carried out by scientist working for large industrial firms. However, there are still opportunities for other people to invent various things. In Britain, there is a weekly T.V program which attempts to show all the devices which people have invented recently . The people organizing the program receive information about 700 inventions per year. New ideas can be develope by private inventor. However, it is important to consider these questions: Will it work? Will it be wanted? Is it new?

Ví dụ:

Would/ Do you mind helping me for a few minutes? (Bạn có phiền giúp tôi ít phút được không?)
Would/ Do you mind not smoking? (= Please don't smoke.) (Xin đừng hút thuốc.)
Would/ Do you mind opening the window? (= Please open the window.) (Phiền bạn mở giùm cửa sổ. / Vui lòng mở giùm cửa sổ.)

2. Đề hỏi xin phép một cách lịch sự ta thường dùng cấu trúc dạng if.
