I think online games should be banned by the government because of its negative effects on children.
Firstly, online games totally distract children from studying. Instead of listening carefully to what teachers say in class, young gamers often think or chat with their friends about how they can improve their ability in the games.
Furthermore, children tend to go straight to the game room after school and ignore their homework. The fact that students spend too much time on online games and don’t review their lessons will lead to their lower grades.
The most important problem is that online games may make children more violent and cause the increasing of children crimes. ‘Children commit more crimes nowadays for money to play games, such as stealing, robbing or even trade their bodies’, said one report.
Playing online games brings children many bad effects. I suppose the government should ban online games so that children can take up sports, music, picnic and so on.
