passage 1:
The World Trade Organization (WTO) is an international organization designed supervise and liberalize international trade. The WTO came into being on January 1,1995 and is the successor to the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT), which was created in 1947 and continued to opearate for almost five decades as a defactor international organization. The World Trade Organization deals with the rulers of trade between nations at a near-global scales it is responsible for negotiating and implementing new trade agreements and is in charge of policing member countries’s adherence to all the WTO agreements, signed by the bulk of the world’s trading nations and ratified in their state Most of the WTO’s current work derives from the 1986-1994 negotiations called Uruguay Round, and earlier negotiations under the GATT. The organization is currently the host to new negotiations, under the Doha Development Agenda (DDA) launchad in 2001. The WTO is governed by a Minister Conference, which meets every two years, a General Council, which implements the conference’s policy decisions and is responsible for day-to-day administration, and a director-general, who is appointed by the Minister Conference. The WTO’s headquaters are in Geneva Switzerland
passage 2:
racing the clock every day is such an exhausting effort that when I actually have a few free moments I tend to collapse. Mostly I seat into a chair and stare into space while I imagine how lovely life would be if only I possessed the organizational skills and the energy of my super heroines.in fact, I waste a good deal of my spare time just worrying about what other women are accomplishing in theirs sometimes I think that these modern fairy tales create as many problems for women as the old stories that had us biding our time for the day our prince would come.
Yet superwomen tales continue to charm me. Despite my friend’s warning against being taken in , despite everything I’ve learned , I find that I’m not only willing , but positively eager to buy that bridge she mentioned. Why? I suppose it has something to do with the appeal of an optistic approach to life and the fact that extraordinary deeds have been accomplished by determined individuals who refused to believe that you’’can’t ‘’ was the final word on their dreams
